Dietrich

As a Three Year Old Child

33" MARLENE DIETRICH

Here is a wonderful version of Marlene Dietrich as a toddler, the first in The Great American Celebrity® Series. We have only released 250 dolls of the worldwide edition making this early release a very rare edition indeed. She is a top quality doll constructed of HardCast Vinyl ® fully armatured, with a weighted cloth body. She is fully color coordinated and fashioned with the support of her deep blue GADCO glass eyes, hand set eyelashes, special "designer" clothes, and a wig that is styled to look exactly like Marlene Dietrich's hair style in the 1906 photo.

A TRUE HOLLYWOOD LEGEND

Marlene Dietrich was one of the most famous actresses from the golden age of Hollywood. This exquisite design was taken from a picture of Dietrich in 1906 when she was only three years old. This doll is licensed through CMG (Creative Management Group) and the Dietrich family. She has a full cloth body with armatures in her legs and arms for easy pose-ability. She has a "weighted" seat that allows for ease of positioning in a sitting posture. Also makes her feel like a real child as the weighted pellets in her seat make her feel heavy, like a real child. Extremely lifelike sculpting. Hand numbered with a Certificate of Ownership.

CLOTHES MAKE THE WOMAN

Dietrich is wearing an adorable soft pink dress which is an exact copy from the dress she is wearing in her original photograph. The top bodice is hand embroidered using embroidery floss from France in green, blue, and dusty pink. It is a true work of art and takes many hours of hand embroidery to complete. The dress has puffy short sleeves and buttons in the back. An attractive colored embroidered Great American Doll Company label identifying our exclusive clothing designer, Eileen Fitzgerald Smith, is at the dress back. In addition, she is wearing full bloomers and petticoat with matching light pink insertion ribbon interwoven throughout. Drawstring on bloomers for easy removal. Her petticoat is with full back working buttons. Dietrich is also wearing adorable hand crocheted stockings complimented by her adorable pink leather-look shoes. The shoes were designed from expensive designer shoes that Marlene Dietrich actually wore when she was three. The shoes tie at the top with adorable pink woven tie strings.

SURPRISE CUSTOM PACKAGING

Marlene Dietrich is a very special doll. Like Tabitha, we have provided Dietrich with a specially designed, full length doll stand. The design is unique with nothing even close to the quality and design in the doll industry. In addition, the steamer trunk is sturdy, well made, and fully functional. It is covered in an expensive looking Art Nouveau material that is so reminiscent of European Grandeur of a bygone age. Truly a value in and of itself, it adds tremendously to Dietrich's value as a very rare collector piece.

ANOTHER TREMENDOUS VALUE OPPORTUNITY

The history and beauty, the edition size, the art and quality, and all the other special attributes are part of the Dietrich doll. With only 250 dolls released in this edition on the only doll of this nature EVER authorized to be made of her, Dietrich at once becomes a very rare and valuable collectible. The Great American Doll Company's Marlene Dietrich doll true monetary value will only be known in the years ahead, perhaps at a future Christies or Sotheby's auction. Thus she is a true work of art, a real value for collectors of Marlene Dietrich and Hollywood lore and to doll collectors and connoisseurs everywhere.

At GADCO...we take your doll collecting seriously.
